Hey guys!
So sorry that we missed last week's post (completely slipped our minds >.<)! Anywho, to mix things up, we thought that I would put out this week's edition of Things I Love Thursday (I'm probably just gunna call them TILTs from now on because I'm a bit lazy :P) On to the things I love!
1. Dave Ramsey - I'm a big fan of this guy. For those of you who don't know who Dave Ramsey is, he's a radio host/financial adviser based in Brentwood, TN (just south of Nashville). His big thing is getting out of debt, building wealth, and living without the stress and intimidation of being a slave to someone else (Proverbs 22:7), and he does a lot to help his listeners and students to do exactly that.
2. Mousehunt - I'm kind of a gamer and a geek. This game isn't for everyone, but it's kinda fun when you play with other people. Basically, you have two trap components (the trap itself and the base) and bait (various types of cheese). Then you catch mice. It's more of a set-and-forget type of game, because you can only catch a mouse every 15 minutes, which is nice, because you can break away from the game at any time (in theory anyway!)
3. Reading - Whoa!! People still read, you ask? Why, yes! Yes, they do! I don't always have time to read, unfortunately, but I really enjoy it. I'm a longtime fan of fantasy and other types of fiction, but I also have an appreciation for non-fiction. I even post reviews from time to time about the books that I've recently finished on my personal blog.
4. Podcasts - This one's kinda connected to number 3. I really like learning, but, like I said earlier, I don't always have time to read. Podcasts, I've found, serve me quite well. I'm subscribed to all kinds of podcasts that cover all kinds of topics: finance, photography, sermons, etc.. I found that, though I don't have time to read, I often have time to listen to my iPod while I'm doing mindless tasks (like alphabetizing paperwork at my part-time job).
5. Guitar - I've actually been playing guitar for over a decade, but it doesn't always feel like it. I got my first guitar (part of an acoustic Yamaha guitar Costco bundle) from my parents on my 13th birthday, and I've been playing and learning off and on ever since.
